_5. For what purpose have you come? *त्वं किं कातुं आगतो सि?*_

_6. I want to sell some goods *अहं भण्डानि विक्किणितुं इच्छामि।*_

_7. Why did you come here, कस्मा इध आगतो सि? ।*_

_8. I came here to talk to you: *तथा सद्धिं सल्लपितुं आगतो म्हि।*_

_9. What is your father? *को तुय्हं पिता?*_

_10. My father is the merchant Mahanama: *मम पिता महानाम वाणिजो ।*_

_11. Who is your friend and acquaintance here ? को इध तव मित्तो वा सन्दि ट्ठो वा?*_

_12. The mayor of this city is a friend of mine: *इथ नगरगुत्तिको मय्हं मित्तो होति।*_

_13. Where do you work ? *कत्थ त्वं कम्मं करोसि?*_ 

_14. I work in a post office: *अहं एकस्मिं सासनगारे कम्मं करोमि।*_

_15. Where do you go from here ? *इतो त्वं कुहिं गच्छसि ?*_

_16. I will go to another town from here. *अहं इतो अञ्ञ अगरं गमिस्सामि।*_

_17. Do you like this place ? *पियायसि त्वं इदं ठानं?*_

_18. I may like this place if it is not to hot: *पियायेय्यम इदं ठानं सच्चेदं नाच्चुण्हंभवेय्य ।*_

_19. When will you go home? *कुदा त्वं सकट्ठानं गमिस्ससि?*_

_20. 1 will go home when I get enough money, *यदि पहोणकं मूलं लभिस्सामि तदाऽहं गमिस्समि।*_

_21. How much money have you now with you? *कित्तकं मूलंदानि तव सन्तिके अत्थि?*_ 

_22. I have fourteen rupees and fifty cents; *चुद्दस रूपियानि अड्ढारुपियञ च मम सन्तिके सन्ति।*_
