_1. Ring the bell; *घण्ठं वादेहि ।*_

_2. Bring my watch here; *मम होरालोचनं इध आहार ।*_

_3. Call that man here; *तं पुरिसं इध पक्कोसाहि ।*_

_4. Wash your feet: *तुय्हं पादे धोवाहि ।*_

_5. Do not go in the Sun; *आतपे मा गच्छाहि।*_

_6. Do not drink intoxicants; *मज्जं मा पिव ।*_ 

_7. Fold my silk dress: *मम कोसेय्यच्छादनं संहराहि ।*_ 

_8. Give this begger some rice: *इमस्स याचकस्स थोकं तण्डुलं देहि ।*_

_9. Send that boy to fetch a pen; *लेखणिं आनंतुं तं दारकं पेसेहि।*_

_10. Be always obedient to your parents; *सदा मातापितुन्नं वचनकरा भवथ।*_ 

_11. Do not ridicule elders *मा वुद्धानं परिहासं करोथ।*_

_12. Never tell lies *मा कदाचि पि मुसा भणथ।*_ 

_13. Do not kill living beings, *मा जीविनो जीविता वोरोपेथ।*_

_14. Pay respect to all religious teachers: *सब्बेसं समणानं गारवं करोथ।*_

_15. Keep company with virtuous friends; *कल्याणमित्ते सेवथ।*_

_16. Do not keep company with friends who have fallen into voice: *पापमित्ते मा भजथ।*_

_17. Do not steal even a needle that belongs to others; *मा परसन्तकं सूचिमत्तं पि थेनेथ ।*_ 

_18. Do not tease animals; *तिरच्छानगते मा हिंसथ ।*_ 

_19. Do not try to find others faults *मा परेसं छिद्दानि गवेसथ।*_ 

_20. Find out your own faults and avoid them; *अत्तनो वज्जानि गवेसेत्वा तानि पजहथ ।*_
